Our office has two different Lasers

1.  A soft tissue laser to treat a manner of gum and periodontal problems without the bleeding, swelling, inflammation, and pain associated with cutting with surgical steel.  The sites heal faster due to photo-stimulation of stem cells.

2. A hard and soft tissue laser which will remove enamel and dentine and bone as well as soft tissue.  Minor tooth preparation can often be done without anesthesia.  The laser prepared surface is clean, sterile and etched; the perfect surface to bond restorative materials.

These tools are regularly used in our procedures for your comfort, and no additional charge is made for their use.

How Lasers Work

Laser use narrow beams of light energy that can penetrate tissue and are able to vaporize, remove, or shape soft tissues such as the gum, cheek, and tongue. Lasers can also seal blood vessels and nerve endings which limits the amount of bleeding (if any) during treatment. This means less swelling and pain following treatment.

The laser targets only the infected and diseased tissue around your tooth for removal and leaves the health tissue alone. At the same time it kills the bacteria that cause gum disease and stimulates the gums to heal.

Non-Surgical Gum Treatment 

Our goal is to restore the health of your gum tissue and prevent advanced periodontal disease. When laser treatment is combined with periodontal scaling and root planing, your gums are receiving the best treatment available. Infected and sore gums can be painlessly treated with out surgery using our special lasers.
